Who are the Greatest Players of All-Time and Why?
The GOAT question in any sport is almost impossible to answer, but I'll start by saying I do not believe you need to win all four slams to be considered. I'ver heard Laver, Hoad and others, but my analysis is limited by age (34). Simply put, the best I've seen is Pete Sampras. Pick a player, any player, and I believe Pete wins a best of five series. Nadal could change this conversation in the near future.

My reponse to Rich in LA's latest MPO: I would expect nothing less from the most well traveled tennis nut of the TLC. What is this week, Rich from Vina Del Mar? Anyhow, I expected Daily Dose rebuttals, so let me break down Rich's breakdown: MY NEPHEW: And he didn't even need the spell check. VERDASCO: Verdasco could have folded up his tent after the 1st set and walked out of Laver Arena w/ boat loads...

This is in response to TLC Member StanSmithers' recent Match Point of Opinion. Look him up in the TLC. Good post Stan. Unfortunately I was unable to access the page you provided the link for, so I'll respond to your opinions. Althought I can't necessarily disagree with much of what you said, I have mix feelings. I agree that Rafa's recent achievements have been a bit overshadowed by Roger's failures, but a large part of...

Once again the temperature at Melbourne Park is raising questions. I have a few thoughts of my own that I will be revealing in Wednesday's Daily Dose of Down Under. Some of those thoughts include Roof Reversals, AO and BCS comparisons, Blame it On Borg and more. I'll also discuss Kuzy's potentially devastating blown volley at 30-40 serving for the match (match in progress as I write), Dementieva's bid to become the best in the...

The 2008 TLR Prophecy will have to wait atleast one more slam. It's 3am eastern on Monday and Fernando Verdasco just defeated Andy Murray on Day Eight at the Aussie Open in five sets. I'm anticipating a few TLC opinions on this one, so I figured I'd beat everyone to the punch. Hats off to Verdasco. His offseason work with former Agassi trainer Gil Reyes looks to be playing off. He looks to have packed...
