I'm a big believer that the TLR fans can make this show even greater, and they also can help out by inviting players, coaches and TV personalities to be interviewed by Golden Throat.

NEPHEW A very well constructed and argued Aussie Open Final discourse written by Todd, obviously ghost written by his apparently very intelligent nephew (the grammar was too good). However, naturally, it is my duty to carpet bomb some of Todd's arguments into a pile of rubble resembling 1945 Berlin. VERDASCO I will ignore the fact that Todd did not discuss the fact that Verdasco, despite his two double faults at the end, exhibited more heart and guts in his...

Real quick on the plus side, terrific tournaments for Dokic, Zvonareva and Simon. Given the weakness of the WTA, Dokic may join Zvonareva on a gallop into the Top 10. And I can’t believe Simon has worked himself from a Top 200 player to a Top 10er. Awesome stuff. On to the sad state of affairs in the tennis game. Exactly why aren’t they moving the Australian Open to March??? 141...

I am writing this on the middle Saturday of the tournament - last evening the networks showed a Murray/Melzer blowout, including a 6-0 second set, and only after that excruciating match ended, switched to a Dementieva/Stosur straight setter, while almost totally ignoring a 5 set thriller between Gonzalez and Gasquet. I had the Gonzalez/Gasquet match circled early on Friday as the one...

Title: 2008 Awards
Date: Monday, November 24, 2008
PLAYERS OF THE YEAR ATP: Rafa Nadal WTA: Justine Henin - she had the most impact on the 2008 WTA Tour of any player with her retirement, and after watching the other pretenders to her throne, I believe she remains the world's best by quite a bit COACH Thierry Tulasne (Gilles Simon) Samuel Sumyk (Zvonareva) IMPROVED Gilles Simon (by a landslide!!!) Vera Zvonareva (although this was predicted, on Marat Safin's horse) BREAKTHROUGH JM Del Potro (by a landslide) Agnieska Radwanska DISAPPOINTMENT Nemesis (also predicted) Azarenka (huge disappointment) Wimbledon...
