make all the tournaments after the Open worth, say, 80% of what they are now? Nothing against Murray or Simon, (or Nalbandian's run last year), or against still-something-left-in-her-tank-Jank, but I feel that this part of the tennis season is just about money-grubbing, which is what the PGA tour especially is doing now. The only drama in the PGA tour is wondering who puts together a late run to protect their playing card for...

From my point of view, the biggest issue for women's (and men's, for that matter) tennis is the too-long schedule that, maybe in concert with the racquet/string technology, seems to leave us with more injuries to players, esp. a lot of the leading players. This makes it tough for fans to get as excited about the game when their favorites are on the sidelines nursing an injury (e.g., Sharapova, S/V Williams, etc) But...
